Colorado Yurts
21st Century Yurts Inspired by 3,000-Year-Old Designs
Spending time in a Colorado Yurt will change your day.
Curved walls calm and center you. Your yurt cabin embraces you with warmth and security while you enjoy the gloriously inescapable natural rhythms of nature: drops of rain on the canvas roof; elk calves mewing from the forest; raptors calling from above timberline; wind against the fabric; waves lapping at the shore; the moon's full face traversing the sky.
It sounds nice, because it is nice. Imagine owning a yurt house or yurt cabin. How about a sweet little office yurt or a unique yurt vacation rental? These are only a handful of the endless ways yurts can complement your dreams!
What is a Yurt?
A yurt is an ancient shelter design originally developed over three thousand years ago by nomadic peoples living on the rugged, windswept steppes of Central Asia. Traditionally wrapped in animal skins, furs or felts, the outside of the yurt was traditionally decorated with symbolic designs that represented each group's cultural heritage.
